Going Home
Story on the back reads :
This image is of Ireland from above. The patchwork of green fields evokes feelings of familiarity and belonging. The landscape welcomes us home…
Going Home was inspired by a childhood memory. I was born in America, the child of Irish immigrants. When I was nine, the Hibernian Society chartered a direct flight to Ireland. For most passengers, it was their first visit home. My father was returning after 23 years.
As the plane descended, men and women stretched to catch a glimpse of the green fields. The moment was filled with excitement and raw emotion as the familiar landscape welcomed them home.
